I never thought I was going to spend almost ten years in Indiana when I first came to the States. However, it is my eighth years at Bloomington. I came here because of my professor Mark Kaplan; now I love here because the great people I met and wonderful friends I made through those years. If one day I leave, I will miss the beautiful flowers around the city and the blooming years I spent with my dearest people.
I didn’t remember I had visited the city in the springtime, because my memories of Chicago were cold biting wind, tall old buildings and people hurrying on the road. However, I have a special affection for this city. As a foreigner, I always feel that Chicago is the most representative metropolis in the United States. The buildings here include almost all styles of the States, and it seems Chicago people also retain the kind of perseverance of working class.
Oh! New York... if you love or hate them, send them to here. Prosperous but dirty, lively and lonely, full of tolerance and discrimination, stories appearing at sunrise and ending at sunset. No matter what, NYC deserves the title of No. 1 city in the world.
A city I want to keep visiting but probably can't live in.
